Caitlyn and Todd's Wedding

Wedding crashers are always hard to deal with, and Matthew was no exception. Matthew the hurricane that is... he came in with strong winds and rain, made for some tough last minute decisions, (and some purchases of extra umbrellas), but he didn't dampen the party.

This wedding started over a year ago when I met Caitlyn and Todd. We had a fun start to the planning process, finding out that Caitlyn and I shared a love of elephants, and Todd and I share a birthday! Caitlyn knew she wanted a Fall themed wedding with mini pumpkins, mums, and flavors of apple, spice, and warm comfort food. And so we made it happen.

Fast forward to last Saturday, Oct 8, and we were wedding ready, no matter what Matthew threw at us! The day started early with hair and makeup for the ladies, and just in time for lunch for the gentlemen. After a ride on the trolley, the two groups came together in the early afternoon at the church for Caitlyn and Todd's first look. Despite the rain, we found a great covered porch for photos and managed to sneak in a Father of Bride first look too. (I LOVE these. They are ALWAYS so sweet and amazing.)

The ceremony was beautiful and sweet, and afterwards the wedding party hopped back into the trolley and headed to take photos at the Palmer Building, where the reception was being held. And, in true wedding day miracle fashion, as the party hopped off the bus, the sun broke through the clouds and the rain stopped. There were a *few* more photos taken (ok...maybe that's a slight downplay on the number) before the wedding party joined the rest of the guests in the cozy and completely Fall-ified reception hall.

First dances, tear jerking toasts, a delicious and perfectly seasonal dinner, and LOTS of boogying down on the dance floor made for one amazing wedding reception. (And word is the fun continued in Uptown with an awesome afterparty... I'm not surprised.) Caitlyn and Todd, it was such fun working with you both. I hope you're enjoying the newlywed life as you keep your wedding season going while getting ready for an amazing time on your honeymoon in Bora Bora!

All the best,

Libby
