Magical March

What do you get when you mix St. Patrick's Day, Myers Park Country Club, a Leprechaun, and fireworks? You get Whitney and BJ's simply MAGICAL wedding day.

From start to finish, this day was perfection. From the lights in the ballroom, to the floral garlands that greeted guests, to the band that rocked all night long, not one detail was left untouched. It was even supposed to rain all day, but instead it was the prettiest weekend of the year to date.

Whitney and her mom, (both designers) wanted to embrace St. Patrick's Day without having the wedding scream it. They created the most beautiful Spring look using lavenders, golds, and light greens. The ballroom was decked out in florals from The Bloom Room, and front and center stood the most extravagant cake I've had the pleasure of seeing (and I've seen TONS of beautiful cakes). Kathy Allen of Kathy Allen Fine Cakes outdid herself with an ornate, five tier beauty complete with more sugar flowers than I've ever seen.

The ceremony at Myers Park United Methodist Church went flawlessly (with four flower girls and two ring bearers!) Guests made their way from the church to the reception and were greeted with apps, drinks, and music that didn't stop. The band kept guests dancing all night, and things really kicked up when the St. Patty's Day necklaces, rings, hats, and oh yes... the LIVE LEPRECHAUN joined the party. The night could only end with a bang, so it did. With surprise fireworks following a sparkler exit. Arranged by the Mother of the Bride, only the vendors knew what was about to happen. The look on Whitney's face was priceless!

This wedding was certainly one for the books. Whitney and BJ followed it up with a honeymoon to South Africa- complete with a Safari. SO FUN.

Thanks for having us be a part of your day!

Libby
